AES was founded in February 2012 by Michael Ferris who is a lifelong Alaskan and former Xerox Sales Account Executive. Michael grew up in Kodiak, Alaska and began salmon fishing when he was 12 years old. Michael ran the Seabrooke (which is now featured on the tv series Deadliest Catch) his family boat from 1991-1997 and in 1994 he bought his first Bristol Bay Gillnetter, the Norrin Radd. Although he went on to pursue other professional interests that took him around the world, Michael never forgot his love of fishing. After 16 years, Michael bought a new Gillnetter and continues his summertime fishing adventures.
